MANAL Eid Party for Kids

Dear Brothers and Sisters.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahu Wa Barakatuhu.

As part of our Eid Al Adha celebrations, MANAL is organizing a Kids Party from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM on SUNDAY, July 2 at the indoor facility of Techniplex (39 Churchill Avenue, St. John's).

The party is intended for both young preschoolers AND older school-aged children/youth of our Muslim community.

There will be inflatable bouncy castles, slides, fun games, twisted balloons, face painting and more. Also, one part of the facility will be reserved for our youth who may be interested in playing indoor soccer and other sports.

Please note that all attending children have to be supervised by and be under full responsibility of their parent / guardian.

As per the rules of the facility, food and drinks will not be allowed. We advise everyone to bring their personal water bottles for their own use.

There will be no fee nor pre-registration requirement for admission to the party. But there will be a donation box at the entrance for those who would like to contribute towards the costs.

Wishing you all a very blessed Eid Al Adha together with your families and beloved ones.

Jazakumullahu Khairan,

We Remember our London Family

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahu Wa Barakatuhu.

On June 6, 2021, we were shaken by the news of a horrific attack in London, Ontario, where the driver of a truck intentionally struck and killed members of a Muslim family taking the lives of a grandmother, a mother, a father and a daughter. The lone survivor of this attack is a young son, who is still coping with the serious injuries he received and the trauma of losing his family.

This Tuesday will mark the two-year commemoration of this Islamophobic terrorist attack. Please join us this Tuesday (June 6), after maghrib prayers (8:55 PM) at Masjid Al Noor, as our volunteer imams will have a Quran recitation and make duaa for the victims and the lone survivor.

As Canadian Muslims, we will always remember our London family and stand against Islamophobia. We will also continue urging all fellow Canadians and politicians to work with us against this increasingly alarming problem with due seriousness and commitment.

Jazakumullahu Khairan,

MANAL Executive Committee

MANAL Eid Al Fitr Celebrations

Dear Sisters and Brothers.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahu Wa Barakatuhu.

We would like to thank all our community members who joined MANAL's Eid Prayer on April 21st and the Kids' Eid Party on April 22nd. Our special thanks go to our dedicated volunteers who tirelessly worked for these two Eid gatherings.

Since our founding members established MANAL in 1981 and built Masjid Al Noor in the late 1980s, our Muslim community has been slowly growing. We thank Allah swt for bringing thousands of us together in this beautiful province and helping us to serve you.

Alhamdulillah, CBC NL had extensive coverage of our Eid Al Fitr celebrations. We would like to take this opportunity to share below some of the links to their news coverage for your information.

We wish you all Eid Mubarak and pray to Allah swt to allow us to celebrate many more Eids.

Jazakumullahu Khairan.
