MANAL needs donations for our new Islamic Centre. Donations may be made in person to any of our executives, through our donation page (Paypal or wire transfer), or at the mosque, either in donation boxes or via Square system. * The Mosque hosts one Jumah prayer every Friday, beginning at 1:10 pm and ending at 1:30 pm. We are also open for Fajr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha prayers on weekdays and all 5 prayers on weekends.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Assalamo Alaikum

As our beloved Prophet (sav) described, the example of the believers in their affection, mercy and compassion for each other must be that of a body: When any limb aches, the whole body must react with sleeplessness and fever. Moreover, the response of true believers need to go beyond feeling the suffering of others. It must also extend to providing refuge and comfort without expecting any gratitude in return.

The Syrian refugee crisis is a real test for all of us. Indeed, it is not only the refugees who are tested in this process. Those of us who live in peace and prosperity here in Canada are also being tested as to whether and how much we care about our suffering brothers and sisters.

With the intention and the hope to Insha'Allah succeed in this test, MANAL would like to mobilize your support to help the settlement and integration of a number of Syrian refugees in this province. For this initiative, we target to raise $100,000 and bring 3 refugee families with an average size of 4 people each. The exact number and size of the families may be less or more depending on the amount of your support.

After considering various options, MANAL decided to partner with the Association for New Canadians (ANC) for co-sponsoring refugee families to be referred by the Canadian Visa Offices abroad. This option provides shorter processing time and brings the expertise of a respected Sponsorship Agreement Holder such as the ANC into the process.

Please note that you can make your donations to our Syrian Refugee Fund by writing a cheque to MANAL or by using our online PayPal option at MANAL website.

We would like to receive your donation by December 31, 2015 so that we can initiate the sponsorship process as soon as possible in the new year. Please note that MANAL will issue donation receipt for income tax purposes.
