Our prayers and thoughts are also with the victims' families who are now going through very difficult times. To help them, we will soon set up a fund to which donations can be made through our website.
We are consoled by the fact that this pain is sincerely shared across Canada, and more particularly here in Newfoundland and Labrador. We have received numerous phone calls, e-mails and letters filled with messages of support and solidarity. The entrance of our mosque has poured with flowers and cards expressing sympathy and condolences. We thank all our fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians for their outpouring of love and kindness. May peace be upon our province and our country, now and forever.
MANAL Executive Committee
Effective immediately, the doors of the mosque will not be automatically opened 10 minutes before the scheduled prayer times. Only those with authorized key fobs will be able to open the doors and allow others to enter the mosque. In addition, all are reminded that it is prohibited to keep the doors ajar by using rubber mats or any other items. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
Jazak Allahu Khairan.
